Alice Belle Meskan, nee Compton, of Addison, age 86. Beloved wife of Allen Meskan; loving mother of Mike (Carol) Marczuk, Steve Marczuk, Matthew (Alejandro) Marczuk, Scott (Sharon) Marczuk, step-mom of Lisa (Meskan) Mell, David Meskan, and Tina (Meskan) Vasconcellos; proud grandmother of 20; great-grandmother of 9 and great-great grandmother of 2; cherished daughter of the late Furney and Evelyn (Sallee) Compton; dear sister of Karen (late Charles) Hart, Kim (late Donna) Compton, Barbara (late Jim) Kerns, Nancy (Jerry) James, the late Mike Compton and the late Evelyn (late David) Kerns; fond aunt of many.

Alice was a remarkable woman whose love, dedication, and strength touched everyone who knew her. A devoted nurse for more than 45 years, she spent her life caring for others with compassion and grace. She found great joy in gardening, nurturing beauty wherever she planted roots. Her strong faith guided her throughout her life, and she was deeply committed to her family, always putting those she loved first. She was known for speaking her mind, whether through a heartfelt conversation or one of her memorable letters, ensuring there was never any doubt about where she stood. She cherished time spent with family and friends, especially during celebrations, where her laughter, warmth, and ever-present smile brightened every gathering. Her legacy of love, faith, honesty, and devotion will remain in our hearts forever.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 12th, at Westchester Community Church, 1840 Westchester Blvd., Westchester. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a living plant that can continue to grow in Alice’s memory or a donation in her name to the American Cancer Society.
