Barbara L. Egan (nee McGovern), 85, of Riverside. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Egan. Loving mother of Christopher Egan, Brian (Veronica) Egan and the late Matthew Egan. Proud grandmother of Samuel and Fiona Egan. Barbara was a proud graduate of Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, CA, class of '58 and Marywood College in Scranton, PA. She was a Chicago Public School teacher for over 20 years. Barbara was a longtime member of St. Mary Church, the Riverside Ladies Bridge Club and the Infant Welfare Society. She loved reading, watching movies, going to plays, traveling and doing sudoku and crossword puzzles. Barbara had a unique ability to maintain lifetime friendships throughout the country from Pennsylvania to California. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home on Thursday August 28, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Friday 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Mary Church, 105 Herrick Rd., Riverside for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. (the mass will be livestreamed - please click on the Watch Video link below) .
