Beloved wife of the late Anthony J.; loving mother of Suzanne (late Bruce) Blecha, Anthony Pisciotto, Jacqueline (Walter) Pisciotto Bombka, John Pisciotto and the late Patricia (Charles P.) Courtney; proud grandmother of Matthew (Kim), Sarah (Paul), Kelly (Patrick) and Jack (Breanne); great-grandmother of Emerson, Elliott, Jameson and Jasper; dear sister of Georgia (late Estill) Fugate; preceded in death by siblings Hazel (Wardie) Craft, Dessell (Bob Long and Frelin) Haynes, Alma (Wayne) Heisler, Edwin (Dorothy) Bach and Orbin Bach Jr; fond aunt of many.

Blanche was nick-named Joy at her birth by her father Noah. She was born in 1933 in Breathitt County, KY. She graduated from Canel City KY, High School at 16 years of age. She moved to Chicago with her family who had migrated to the expanding job market post WWII.
Joy met her husband, Anthony (Tony) and they married. She was 18, he was 19. They started a family and had three children close together in age. Ten years later two more children followed.
At 42, Joy was widowed. She raised her youngest children as a single mother. During her work life, she worked in retail for such firms as Goldblatts, Sears, RR Donnelly, Montgomery Ward and Woolworth. In her middle age, she worked for Addus Healthcare as a Home Healthcare Aide.
She was very devoted to her patients and enjoyed working with the elderly.
In her 50's, she spent several years helping her daughter Patricia through her illness and assisted in the care of her grandchildren.
Joy retired at 70 and enjoyed the rest of her years with family, and occasionally visiting Door County WI, with her daughter Jackie. She loved a variety of music genres, poetry, reading and gardening. She enjoyed rescuing flowers, plants and animals. She especially loved birds and bird song. She was also very fond of the family cat, Giacomo, her near constant companion of the last 13 years.
Joy lived a full and abundant life. She will be missed and loved while she awaits us in heaven. May her memory be a blessing.
