It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Casimer "Casey" Kubisztal, who departed this life on February 7 at the age of 94.
Casey was born in Chicago, IL on January 12, 1931, the beloved son of Polish immigrants, Franciszek "Frank" and Antonina (nee Zasowska) Kubisztal. A proud veteran, Casey honorably served in the United States Air Force from 1950-1954. After completing his military service, he attended DePaul University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. He then went on to have a distinguished career as an accountant and auditor for the State of Illinois. Casey was a proud member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and member of the Holy Name Society of Mater Christi Church.
On June 10, 1961, Casey married the love of his life, Jeanette (nee Rudnicki), in Chicago, IL. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter and cherished memories. Casey was a devoted husband to Jeanette, an adoring father and grandfather to Philip (June) Kubisztal and children Ava and Zachary Kubisztal, Karen (Rich) Schoewe and children Kevin, Matthew and Christopher Schoewe and Stephen (Carrie) Kubisztal and children Ashley and Kyle Kubisztal, Paxson (Kayley) and Macy Bentz and Madison (Ryan) Scepansky.
His kindness, warmth and loving personality touched the lives of many, including his sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and countless friends. Casey had a passion for golf and enjoyed bowling and fishing. Casey was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Wally, Matt, Ted and Eddie.
Though Casey may no longer be with us, his legacy of love, service and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd. (2 Blks. W. of Mannheim Rd.) Westchester on Wednesday February 12, 2025 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm. On Thursday February 13, everyone is asked to meet directly at Mater Christi Church (St. Paul VI Parish), 2401 S. 10th Ave in North Riverside for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. The mass will be livestreamed, please click on the Watch Video Link below. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
