Cecile C. de Leon of River Forest formerly of the Philippines, age 78. Beloved wife of Jessie A. Domingo; loving mother of Michael (Tara) de Leon; cherished daughter of Consolacion and the late Enrique de Leon; dear sister of Bobby, Ferdinand, Henry, Jovy, Melchor, Ray, Romy, Tony and the late Wilfredo and Marites; fond aunt of many.

Cecile was the first in her family to immigrate to the United States from the Philippines, paving the way for her parents, eight brothers, and their families to eventually join her. She began working as an emergency room nurse at Cook County Hospital and continued to serve in the healthcare industry for over thirty years. Even in retirement, Cecile worked part-time for a nursing agency, always finding ways to care for others. In her free time, she loved to travel to faraway places like Australia, the Middle East, and South America. She attended mass at St. Luke's Catholic Church every weekend and never passed up a shopping trip—often convincing her husband, son, and daughter-in-law to join her. The life of the party, Cecile brought joy and laughter to every gathering, sharing her contagious positivity wherever she went. Above all, she gave generously in her most cherished roles: as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt.

Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All to meet Friday, July 18th at St. Luke Church, 7600 Lake St., River Forest for a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass.
