Christine
Moran
Nov 18, 1948 — Mar 4, 2026
Westchester
With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Christine Moran, who went home to Heaven on March 4, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Dennis for 44 beautiful years and the love of his life.
Chris lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family. She brought warmth and light into every room and will be remembered for her kind heart, generous spirit, and the countless ways she cared for those around her. Chris possessed a remarkable sense of humor that lifted spirits and brought comfort even in difficult moments. She had a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved. Whether through a gentle word, a reassuring presence, or a perfectly timed laugh, Chris brought joy to all who knew her.
In her early years, Chris served with the Sisters of St. Joseph, reflecting a deep commitment to faith and service that would guide the rest of her life. It was during this time that she met the love of her life, Dennis. That same spirit of compassion led her to dedicate her professional life to caring for others as a home health and hospice nurse, where she walked alongside patients and their families during their most vulnerable moments. With extraordinary compassion and grace, Chris offered comfort, dignity, and peace.
Above all, Chris was an extraordinary wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was centered on caring for the people she loved. Her family was her greatest joy, and she gave them endless support, laughter, and unconditional love. Her warm spirit and wonderful sense of humor brought comfort and joy to everyone around her.
Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering and has found eternal peace. Her faith sustained her throughout her life, and we trust she is now resting in the presence of the Lord.
Chris was the loving daughter of Eugene and Patricia Gurnicz. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Dennis; her children, Emily (Norm) Rankin, Casey (Maria) Moran, and Luke (Carly) Moran; her cherished grandchildren, Ash, Oscar, Eddie, Mason, and Simon; her siblings Mark, Claudia, Carl, David, Marian, and Laura (Patrick); and many other beloved family members and dear friends who will cherish her memory always.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Services will be private. Arrangements entrusted to Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home.
