Edward Anthony "Terry" Mack, 100, of Northbrook, IL, formerly of River Forest, IL, died peacefully in his home, surrounded by his devoted daughters. US Naval Air Corps veteran. Son of the late John and Josephine "Bessie" Mack. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Eileen (Brennan) and the late Barbara Diane (Jacques), cherished father of Maureen Suzanne (John) Lawler, Debra Ann (Patrick) Damian, the late Terence Edward (the late Christine) Mack and Karen Eileen (Bud Rein) Taylor. Dear Papa of 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of the late Irvin (the late Dorothy) Mack and the late Angela (the late Raymond Stanley), loved cousin of Jack (Louise) Sumnarski and dear brother-in-law to Barbara Kellner, as well as friend to many. Terry enlisted in the Navy at the Board of Trade in Chicago in 1942 and became a flight instructor, flying PBY-5 Catalinas. He cherished those memories. After his Naval service he began a 37 yr career at Marshall Field & Co., which included opening the Store for Men in Old Orchard. Marshall Field's Oak Park store is where he met his beloved wife Dorothy. Her sudden death left 4 children under the age of 7. Three years later Terry married Barbara, sharing a deep love with her for 53 yrs which included travel and his adored game of golf. Terry exemplified honesty, patience, integrity and unconditional love. He was blessed with an active mind and healthy body until the end of his life. He was a wonderful father, a wonderful husband, a wonderful man. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W.
