Elaine Pontikis, nee Vlachos, of Chicago, age 93. Beloved wife of the late John Pontikis. Loving mother of Peter (Christine) Pontikis, Thomas (Sandra) Pontikis, and Phyllis (Jeff) Lukas. Beloved grandmother to John (Angela), Matthew (fiancée Emily), Stephanie, Luke, Alexandra and Carl. Great grandmother to Mia and Emma. Elaine was a lifelong educator and taught fourth grade at Garfield School in Forest Park for most of her career. A wonderful cook, her meals brought her family together and created fond memories. She will be greatly missed but her legacy will stay with us. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 601 S.
