Geraldine "Jeri" Basek, nee Hromec, longtime resident of North Riverside, age 90. Beloved wife of the late Charles Basek; loving mother of Karen (Kenneth) Rouleau, Brian (Patricia) Basek and David (Mary) Basek; proud grandmother of Jason Rouleau, Jonathan (Heidi) Rouleau, Bryant Rouleau and Matthew (Rita) Rouleau; Amanda (Kevin) Spencer; Brianne (Tommy) Lindal, Brittany (Joey) Aiyash, Bradley (Peach) Basek; and Chris (Jacki) Valdez, David Valdez and Michael Valdez; great-grandmother of Cassidy, Anastasia and Isaac Rouleau; Madison and Emma Spencer; Lilah Lindal; Landon Aiyash; Laney and Addie Basek; Remy, Anderson and Mason Valdez; dear sister of the late Frank Hromec; fond aunt of the late Susan Tompkins.

Jeri was a longtime member of the North Riverside Senior Group. She enjoyed oil painting, quilting, going to the casino and was a faithful attendee of Mass at Mater Christi Church. Jeri loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester on Tuesday, August 11, 2026 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home to Mater Christi Church for a 10:00 a.m. mass. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Queen of All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Paul VI Parish (www.stpaulviparish.org).
