Geraldine M. Budimier, (nee Scalise) age 92, of Shorewood. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Budimier. Loving mother of Jeffrey (Ceci) Budimier, Kurtis (Tina) Budimier, Derek (Dawn) Budimier and Joe Budimier. Proud grandmother of Brett Budimier, Brittany (Tim) Frain, Eric Budimier, Edward (Ashley) Budimier and Douglas Budimier. Great-grandmother of Charlotte and Clark Budimier.  Dear sister of the late Richard Scalise and Bernice Greske. Survived by sister-in-law Blanche Scalise. Fond aunt of Debbie, Ricky, Jimmy and David Scalise. Also survived by various cousins, close relative Bev Kolodziej, and numerous close friends. Geraldine worked fulltime most of her life in the tough world of warehousing. Geraldine was a devout Catholic who was very active at Holy Family Church in Shorewood. She enjoyed cleaning and spending her time outside in the sun as she used to do many years ago in Florida. She always looked forward to the live entertainment at the Timbers of Shorewood. Geraldine was a huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Chicago Bears. Geraldine loved to bake and was well known for her homemade cheesecake and nut cups.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested Memorials in the name of Geraldine Budimier be made to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or any local food bank.

Family and friends are asked to gather for a Memorial Mass for Geraldine at Holy Family Church, 600 Brookforest Ave, Shorewood, IL on Wednesday February 21, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
