John L. Campanella, 92, passed away February 10, 2025, in Surprise, Arizona. Beloved husband of late Corrinne E. Campanella; loving father of John J. (Nancy) Campanella, Debra (Ted) Sarna, Denise (Joseph) Widlarz, Cynthia Campanella, Theresa (Gary) Zelenka and the late Thomas Campanella. Of the six children, there are two sets of twins. Dear grandfather of Michael, Kimberly, Steven, Bradley, Sarah, and Nicholas; great-grandfather of Kylie, Colin, Nash, Isabella, Parker, Ava, Lincoln, Sawyer, Adalynn and Amelia. Son of the late John J. and Marie Campanella. Loving brother of the late Joseph, Margaret, George, and Fredric. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Dad was always one to make the best jokes, though not always the most appropriate for young children's ears. He had a love-hate relationship with all of his Chicago sports teams. Despite it, he was a longtime Bears season ticketholder and proudly attended the 1986 Super Bowl in New Orleans.

After selling his direct mail advertising business and retiring to Arizona with Mom, they enjoyed going to the casino, being sure to get the best hotel and buffet deals. When he relaxed, he enjoyed solitaire and casino games on his computer as he was an early adopter of the internet.   He also enjoyed watching Fox News and Caitlin Clark and Iowa Women's basketball.

Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Chapel Service 12:00 noon. Interment, Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Info: 708-562-5900.
