Joseph D. Stastny, age 84, of Westmont, formerly of Oak Park. US Navy Veteran. Beloved husband of the late Joy Theresa Stastny. Dear brother of Joan (the late Robert) Del Sarto and brother-in-law of Judi (the late John) Pollastrini. Loving uncle of Laurie Figlewicz and Rebecca (Erik) Whittenhall. Fond great-uncle of Matthew (Megan) Whittenhall, Katie (Nathan) Ruffalo and Emma Figlewicz. Great-great uncle to Holly Ruffalo. Joseph loved to travel the world, especially to Japan. He spoke several different languages, loved to write and loved to work and tinker around the house. Joseph was a former Manager at Sears and previously worked for Follett Publishing. He loved his family, friends and neighbors and was known as an avid 'chef' who loved to cook, but making his famous bread that he would share with everyone, will be most remembered. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home 10501 W. Cermak Road in Westchester on Wednesday April 2, 2025 from 3:00pm until 8:00pm.
