It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joyce Dote. Joyce Ruth Dote, 81, passed away peacefully at her Roanoke, Virginia home on December 3, 2024. She was surrounded and embraced by the love of her family when she died. She leaves behind a son Richard Dote (Kelly); daughter, Joelle Henry (David); grandchildren, Alyse Sandoval, Brad Dote, Megan Sansone (Ralph), Jackson Henry, Keara Henry, Brian Henry; great granddaughter, Arizona Sansone. Joyce is also survived by her brother, Lynn Abbott (Diane).

Nothing made Joyce happier than doting on and spoiling her grandchildren. She loved them above all else. She received the most joy indulging them with their favorite treats, traveling near and far to support them in their interests, and just being a part of their worlds. In addition to spending time with her family, Joyce enjoyed planting flowers and preparing wonderful meals for her family. She was most happy when the ones she loved were happy.
