It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathy Tselepis, who departed this life on October 31, 2026, just shy of her 95th birthday. Born on November 2, 1931, in the village of Finikounda, Greece, Kathy was the cherished daughter of the late Zachary and Georgia Rombakis. Her life was a testament to the enduring values of love, family, and faith.
Kathy's journey brought her to Dubuque, Iowa, where she lived with her beloved sister Rena and her family. When visiting Chicago, she and her mother met a young car mechanic when he got off his shift at his brothers’ garage. She married her beloved Thomas Tselepis and together they built a home filled with warmth and laughter. Kathy was the devoted mother of Jeanine (Steve), Pam (Jim), Jimmy (Naomi), and Greg.
Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren, Chris (Alessio), Kate, Janey, and Tommy. Kathy's presence in their lives was a guiding light, and her stories and traditions will be remembered. A woman of deep faith, Kathy was an active member of Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church since its beginning. Her commitment to her faith was unwavering, and she was known for her kindness and generosity of spirit.
