Leonard James "Jim" Voss, 71, of Streator, IL, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2025. Born on June 26, 1954, to the late Leonard "Len" and Jo Ann Voss, he grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Leonard dedicated nearly 40 years to the United States Postal Service, working at various processing and distribution centers throughout his career while somehow managing to never "go postal" on the job. In addition to his service with the USPS, Leonard was a licensed real estate broker with a lifelong passion for taking on ambitious renovation projects.

Leonard was known for a distinct, unfiltered sense of humor and an ability to find a joke in almost any situation. Fueled by the thrill of competition, he loved the pursuit of a win, whether it was playing cards with family, mastering Tetris and chess, or engaging in a round of ping-pong or frisbee golf.

Leonard is survived by his two sons, L.J. and Vincent Voss; his grandson, Elijah James; his sister, Beverly Ryan; and his nephews, Adam and Galen Kerasotes. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Billy.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W Cermak Rd, Westchester, IL. Chapel prayers at the funeral home 11:00 a.m., proceeding to Divine Infant Church, for 11:30 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment private.
