Lucy Salvatore (nee Zotto), a longtime resident of Westchester, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on August 14, 2026 at age 98.   She was born February 19, 1928 at her home on Campbell Park in Chicago to Mary and Michael Zotto.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Salvatore and is survived by her loving daughters Gail (William) Keleher and Roberta (Daniel) Lawinger. She was the very proud grandmother of Julia Anne Lawinger and Daniel Clark (Rebecca) Lawinger and was affectionately known as GiGi to her great-granddaughter Tessa Jane.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law Patricia Zotto, long-time friend Marge Esposito, dear cousins Anthony (Terry) Maioriello and a great many loving nieces and nephews whom she adored.

In addition to her parents, Lucy was preceded in death by her siblings Jane (Barney) Corry, Carmen (Violet) Presco, Patricia Ramsay, Bertha (Earl) Corry, and Vito Zotto.

She also had 2 infant siblings who predeceased her, her twin Anthony and her brother Vito Antonio.

Lucy was a dedicated, generous and loving mother. She loved entertaining and hosting gatherings centered around family and friends, food and wine.  Most of all, she cherished Sunday dinners and of course football! As you all know, Lucy was truly one-of-a-kind.

She will forever be in our fondest memories.

Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home 10501 W. Cermak Road, Westchester on Tuesday August 18, 2026 from 9:00am until time of chapel prayers at 10:45am. Funeral procession will follow to Divine Providence Church for a funeral Mass at 11:00am. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Christ the King Garden Mausoleum.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Divine Providence Church-Mary Mother of Divine Grace Parish would be appreciated.  Further info at 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L
