Margaret
Mudjer
Jun 12, 1959 — Jul 14, 2024
Burr Ridge
Margaret Mudjer of Burr Ridge, age 65. Beloved wife of Stephen; loving mother of Gerry (Emily) and Neil (Kate); cherished daughter of the late Zenon and Alina Swiatek. Services will be planned and announced at a later date. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to Thomas Ahern, Funeral Director. For info 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L.
Born in Warsaw, Poland on June 12, 1959, Margaret immigrated to the U.S. in 1985. Throughout her life, she had two favorite hobbies, photography and traveling.
In her local area, she gained recognition for photos which she had entered into contests. She took thousands of pictures of people and things, especially those in which she found beauty. She loved feeding and photographing Hummingbirds.
Margaret traveled at every opportunity and loved seeing new places and experiencing different cultures. She showed her children many corners of the globe and enjoyed every minute.
Above all other activities, Margaret was a homemaker and a devoted mother. She always put her children first in her world. When her children were young, she served for many years as the president of the PTO for Henryk Sienkiewicz Polish Language School in Summit, IL. She left the position to open her own Consignment Store in Oak Park, IL. After a year, she decided to take a job at Von Maur as a sales associate. She was later promoted to department manager. In every endeavor, she always put forth an effort far beyond that which was expected.
After Von Maur, Margaret decided to stay home and spend time with Maddie, her devoted and adoring standard schnauzer. Maddie loved Margaret unconditionally, just as Margaret loved her.
Margaret saw both of her sons marry the loves of their lives and she could not have been more proud. She will be missed in ways that cannot be properly expressed by the limits of any earthly language.
