Marlene Plucienik, nee Zawacki, of Westchester. Marlene's 86 year gift of life ended on December 13, 2025 and freed her from the long terrible grip of Parkinson's disease.
Family survivors are daughters Linda Lavine-Plucienik, Donna (Kirk) Kapoun, Pamela (Kevin) Berger and Kim (Vince) Henehan. Paul, her husband of 65 years and her sisters-in-law, Virginia Plucienik and Patricia Plucienik. Predeceased by Josephine Zawacki, Joseph Zawacki, Florence and Henry Walaszek, Robert Plucienik and Gerald Plucienik.
Marlene's greatest enjoyment was raising her four daughters and visiting with her twelve grandchildren, Kailey, Ryan, Daniel, Harrison, Bennet, Emma, Grace, Josie, Tom, Megan, Charlie and Anne, as well as her great-grandchildren, Audrey, Addison, Eleanor and BernadetteU.
After retiring, Marlene and Paul went cruising the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and around the Hawaiian Islands. They took bus tours in Europe and British Columbia and enjoyed winters fishing at Fort Myers Beach.
Marlene was a relatively quiet person but her presence was always appreciated by family and friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Divine Providence Church, 2550 Mayfair, Westchester from 10:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Interment private. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Parkinson's Foundation (www.parkinson.org). Arrangements entrusted to Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home. For info 708-F-U-N-E-R-A-L.
