Mary G. Aravosis, nee Dalianis, of Elmhurst, age 94.  Beloved wife of the late George Aravosis; loving mother of Kathryn (George) Katsivalis, George, John and the late Valerie; proud grandmother of Illias (Zoe), Anthony (Reiko), Andreas, Evan, Matthaios and Sofia; great-grandmother of George, Leo and Telly; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Mary came from Greece in 1939 arriving at Ellis Island. The first English word she learned was "shoe" and she was so excited she ran home to tell her mother with pride. Mary graduated from The Chicago Teachers College with a Bachelor's Degree and she earned a six year scholarship from the Chicago Art Institute. All to meet Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church, 2501 S. Wolf Rd., Westchester for Visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 10:00 a.m. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery.
