Richard "Rick" Husarik, age 77, of Frisco, TX, formerly of Lyons, IL. Beloved husband and best friend of Kathryn "Katie" (nee Kelly) Husarik.  Devoted son of the late John and Olga (nee Stasaitis) Husarik.  Fond brother-in-law of the late John (the late Meredith) Kelly, Robert (Dale) Kelly, Patrick "PK" (the late Debra) Kelly, Susan (the late James) Wiedemann and Marian (the late Andrew) Sabol. Uncle of several nieces and nephews. Rick was the retired Chief of Police for the Lyons IL Police Department, a former Hostage Negotiator (nickname of "Preacher") for NIPAS (Northern Illinois Police Alarm System), a member of the Lyons FOP Lodge #44, the Illinois Police Association, a member of the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club and a member of The ROMEO (Retired Old Men Eating Out) Club. Rick was a huge fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed many games at Lambeau Field. Rick enjoyed motorcycling, camping, scuba diving, traveling and spending time with friends and living life to the fullest! Services and interment will be private.
