Rudolph J. "Rudy" Nekovar, Jr. of Hodgkins, formerly of Riverside, North Riverside and Cicero, age 86. Loving father of Curtis (Janet) Nekovar, Melody Johnson and Keri (Jorge) Herrera; former spouse and dear friend of Christine Stout; proud grandfather of Nicole (Ray) Dalrymple and Morgan, Nicholas and Benjamin Johnson. Rudy was a retired florist of many years working with Romani Florists, Phillips Flowers, Heritage House Florists and Curtiss Bridal. He was the wedding coordinator at Riverside Presbyterian Church for many years and was known as the "Original Wedding Singer", long before the movie! Rudy had the gift of music and was a talented singer dating back to the '40's and '50's and won first place at Hot Point Family Night in April of 1949 among many other awards. He loved crosswords, pro wrestling and was an avid fan of Judge Judy.  A Memorial Service will be held at Highlands Presbyterian Church, 1902 W. 59 ^th St., La Grange Highlands, IL on May 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception at the church, followed by Inurnment at Bronswood Cemetery.
