Ruth F. Brockmann, nee Scherer, of Palatine, formerly a longtime resident of Westchester, age 98, passed away March 15, 2024. Beloved wife of the late Raymond Brockmann; loving mother of Lois (late Richard) Walsh and Marilyn (Steven) Kosmella; proud grandmother of Brandon (Mary Ann) Kosmella, Lindsay (Jesse) Anaya, Emily (Jack) O'Neal, Erin (Michael) Wogan and Lauren (fiancé Brian Gates) Walsh; great-grandmother of Lucy, Daisy, Jacob, Austin, Nolan, Myles, Ruth and Grace; preceded in death by her siblings; Harold (late Virginia) Scherer, Ross (late Ann) Scherer, William (late Gwen) Scherer and Frances (late Joseph) Auchincloss; fond aunt of many. Visitation Thursday March 21, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 200 North Plum Grove Road Palatine. All are welcome to join the family at Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery, Oakbrook Terrace, at 2:00 p.m. for committal services that day.
