Sandy Johnson, longtime resident of Brookfield, age 76, passed away March 31, 2024. Sandy is the beloved mother of Mike (Jennifer) Johnson, and a dear former mother-in-law of Jennifer (Erica) Dixon - Johnson. She was the proud "Grandma Sandy" to Cooper, Kelsey and Payton Johnson and Russell Dixon as well as all the kids from her neighborhood. Sandy was the sister-in-law of Amy Daffé and Diane Farmer and the dear aunt of Christy and Kelly. She was preceded in death by her former husband and friend Dale Johnson and her brother Sanford Niles, Jr. as well as her parents Sanford, Sr. and Jeanne Niles.

Sandy was a longtime employee of Brookfield Zoo where she enjoyed the friendship of all her coworkers. In raising her son, she began volunteering with the Boys Scouts of America, and remained an active volunteer for over 25 years with Brookfield Troop 21. Sandy also volunteered at Congress Park School in Brookfield. She enjoyed baking, and was likely to show up with a freshly baked cake for all to enjoy. You could always spot her wearing a Disney article of clothing, because she loved all things Disney. While Sandy loved volunteering, and serving her community, the number one matter of importance for Sandy was her family, and she enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren.
