Sylvette Arguillo Rigor, age 77, of Westchester, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 23, 1949, in the Philippines to Bonifacio and Teodora. Sylvette lived a life defined by deep faith, unwavering selflessness, and boundless love for her family.

A devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, Sylvette immigrated from the Philippines and built her home in Westchester, Illinois. She was a loving wife to her husband Henry, and a proud mother to her son Jonathan. She is also survived by her brothers John, Edison, Alexandre, and Aladdin, her sisters Josephine and Arlene, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members both in the United States and the Philippines whom she cherished deeply.

For over 30 years, Sylvette served as a dedicated nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital, where her compassion and care touched countless lives. She was known as the most selfless and giving person—always putting the needs of others before her own. Her sacrifices were rooted in a profound love for her family; she worked tirelessly to provide for her loved ones in the Philippines and to fulfill her dreams of giving them better opportunities. One thing she especially loved was spending hours upon hours talking with her best friend Tina. Her strong Christian faith guided her every step, sustaining her through challenges and bringing comfort to all who knew her.

Sylvette will be remembered as a woman of quiet strength, joyful generosity, and enduring faith. Her legacy of love and service will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and everyone she touched.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester, Illinois, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Chapel Service at 5:00 p.m. to celebrate Sylvette's life and share in remembrance.
