Valeriano Ortiz Azua, of Brookfield, formerly of Chicago, age 84. Beloved husband of Esther, nee Cordova, Ortiz; loving father of Rocio (Mario) Saucedo, Patricia (Raul) Escarpita, Guillermo (Rosa) Ortiz and Julio (Fabiola) Ortiz; proud grandfather of Chris, Nikkie, Gusy and Maurico Saucedo, Justin and Cesar Escarpita, Angelina Ortiz and Saya and Hunter Ortiz; great-grandfather of Yaretzi Escarpita; dear brother of many siblings in Mexico and a fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Valeriano loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing basketball, reading cowboy novels and enjoyed stamp collecting. He was an avid runner who loved traveling to Mexico.
