Virginia "Ginny" Cullen, nee Gaul, of Oak Brook formerly longtime of River Forest, IL, age 82, passed away June 11, 2025. Beloved wife of 60 years of Frank "F.J." Cullen; loving mother of Elizabeth "Liz" (David) Langlois, Catherine "Cathy" (Bill) Kane, Frank "F.J." (Kathleen) Cullen and the late Patrick Cullen; proud grandma of Matthew and Abby Langlois, Patrick, John and Maureen Kane, F.J. and Peter Cullen and P.J., Riley and Hunter Cullen; dear sister of Patricia (Tom) Dorian, Bob (Cathy) Gaul, Terry (Lisa Tasner) Gaul and the late Dr. William (Patty) Gaul; fond aunt of many and countless friend to many more. Ginny was a graduate of St. Vincent Ferrer grammar school, a graduate of Trinity High School, went on to Marquette University and graduated from Rosary College (Dominican University). Ginny was active in St. Vincent Ferrer parish, participating in the Mother's Club. She knitted over 160 Christmas socks. An avid golfer, Ginny served as treasurer of women's golf at Butterfield Country Club. She was the favorite check in lady for the Butterfield Invitational Golf Tournament for many years. Ginny also served as a board member for the Chicago Women's District Golf Association. She enjoyed working at Alioto's Gift Shop for many years. Ginny enjoyed playing cards, and participated in a weekly Spite and Malice card group.  Ginny was always up for a party, and often the life of the party, she will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester on Monday, June 16, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Visitation on Tuesday will take place from 9:00 a.m. until beginning of 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1530 Jackson Ave, River Forest, IL.
