William J. Cvitanovich of Downers Grove, age 88. Beloved husband of Bette (nee Graunke) Cvitanovich; loving father of Deanna (Michael) Lacny; proud grandfather of Brandon, Stephanie and Megan Lacny; preceded in death by his brothers Frank, John, David and George and his sisters Ann, Olga, Judy, Emma, Eve, Ginny, Mary and Dolores; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. William was one of 14 children. He was a great husband, father and grandfather. He was a family man. William married Bette, the love of his life on April 15, 1961. His love for both gardening and animals was undeniable. William made sure to have fresh water out on his front lawn so all dogs who walked past his home would be able to have a drink. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 5211 Carpenter St., Downers Grove, IL 60516 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment private.
