William M. Rooney, resident of Westchester for 70 years, passed away at age 95 peacefully with family. Beloved husband of the late Annamae; devoted loving father of Dianne (Richard) Duda, Michael (Roberta) Rooney, Barbara (Michael) Holland, Maureen (John) Flo, John (Karen) Rooney and the late Martin J. Rooney; he was blessed with 13 grandchildren: Brian, Lara, Eric, Christine, Ryan, Ashley, Shannon, Amy, Bill, Kelly, Graham, Tara and Colleen; great-grandfather of 10. Bill was a devoted Catholic and usher at Divine Providence Church. He retired after 60 years as an outstanding salesman from Northwest Mill Work at the age of 82. Bill was an avid White Sox fan. He loved fishing and a good joke. Bill was a passionate champion golfer and was in the Divine Providence/Divine Infant Golf Leagues for 55 years.  His kindness to others was known by all of his friends, family and neighbors whom he treasured. Family and friends will be received at the Conboy-Westchester Funeral Home, 10501 W. Cermak Rd., Westchester on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. proceeding to Divine Providence Church, 2550 Mayfair, Westchester for an 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass.
