Sarah A. Torrens, nee Bradbury, of Westchester, age 55. Beloved fiancée of Earl Grindol; loving mother of Trevor Torrens; devoted daughter of Louise and the late John Bradbury; dear sister of Marti (Darrell) Good, David (Vicky) Bradbury, Karen (Larry) Kober, Steven (Tara) Bradbury and Anne (Doug) Spaniol. Sarah was born June 19, 1964, to John and Louise Bradbury, the fifth of six children. In her youth, Sarah was an avid swimmer, competing at Normal Community High School, as well as in Decatur, Illinois. She graduated from Decatur MacArthur High School in 1982, then earned her bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising at Northern Illinois University. Sarah enjoyed a long career at Randa Accessories, relishing the challenges of accurately predicting inventory levels for numerous vendors. Sarah affected many with her loving, patient, welcoming personality. She devoted much time and heart to Boy Scouts during the years that her son, Trevor, was a scout. She was so happy to share the experience with him. Her love of flowers led her to join the Grassroots Garden Group of Westchester. Another of Sarah's passions was rescue dogs; over the years she gave a happy home to four rescue dogs, welcoming them into her family. Sarah's legacy of love will live on in her son Trevor, her fiancée Earl, her mother and entire family, and her many friends. Services and interment are private.
